Car Seat Checks
This is a post to all the new mom's out there that have recently gotten their car seats checked. Where did you go? I have called around and most of the places are booked up until mid October...and I don't want to wait that long or their hours really don't work with our schedule. I made an appt. with the Denton Police Department as they have evening hours, but I REALLY don't want to drive that far. People have told me fire departments and car dealerships do them as well...but I have called around and can't find any dealerships and even though the fire department by our house does (which is the only one I can find that still does them) them..the appts. are only on Tuesdays in the middle of the day and it really doesn't mesh with my work schedule. Anyway..any input would be much appreciated. :)

In Houston some of the boutiques that sell carseats do it. For instance, this place called Kids 1st Furniture does it and I think USA baby does it. So check with some of the places that sell carseats. I think the Right Start does it and I think they are reopening now after filing chapter 11- at least the Houston one is re-opening.
We went to a fire station in McKinney and it was great. I didn't have to make an appoinment or anything. I just called the fireman whose name I was given and he told me when he'd be at the station to come by anytime. I have his info if you need it.
we just had my sister in law check it...she has 4 kiddos of her own, so we trusted her expertise :-)
to answer your question...my photographer brought all the hats and accessories that she used in hank's photo shoot. including the little shorts.
Hi Nicole! we got ours checked at childrens hospital. I think Plano Presby does them too. Good luck!
